If you want to start living your dream life immediately, say goodbye to these 8 habits

It’s fascinating how we let certain habits dictate the course of our lives—often without us even noticing.

These routines shape our reality, influencing everything from our mindset to our progress, for better or worse.

For years, I clung to routines and patterns, convinced they were the foundation of my success.

But over time, I realized that not all habits are helpful. Some weren’t the stepping stones I thought they were—they were chains quietly holding me back.

In pursuit of my dream life, I had to confront and let go of eight specific habits.

In this article, I’ll share these habits with you, along with the lessons I learned and how they could help you create space for growth and change in your own life.

1) Believing that creativity is for the ‘chosen ones’

It’s a myth that creativity is an exclusive club, open only to artists, writers, or those with a certain flair.

This misconception often inhibits us, shrouding our potential in self-doubt.

I used to view creativity as something elusive, something other people had.

This perspective changed when I realized creativity is simply about seeing things differently and taking action.

It’s the essence of being human and it’s within all of us.

Dismissing the myth of the ‘chosen ones’ meant embracing the reality that I was creative too.

This shift in mindset allowed me to see every decision, every challenge as an opportunity to tap into my creative potential, to find innovative solutions.

You too are creative. Don’t let anyone or anything convince you otherwise.

2) Accepting societal dominance hierarchies

Society has a knack for creating hierarchies. It’s as if we’re programmed to measure ourselves against others based on wealth, status, or power.

I fell into this trap, too, once believing that my worth was defined by external standards.

But then, I woke up to the reality that every individual has inherent dignity and worth.

Power and status are transient, but our human value is unchanging.

This understanding transformed my relationships.

I began to cultivate connections based on mutual respect, empathy, and cooperation rather than dominance.

It’s a path that leads to unity and mutual growth rather than division.

3) Sticking to societal conditioning

The societal norms and beliefs ingrained in us can often limit our true potential.

I used to accept these constraints, thinking they were the rules of life.

But then, I discovered the power of breaking free and embracing authenticity.

For those keen on transcending these limiting beliefs, the “Free Your Mind” masterclass with shaman Rudá Iandê is a game-changer.

This masterclass dismantles common myths and encourages you to develop a personal cosmovision, free from external conditioning.

Having worked closely on producing this masterclass, I’ve seen firsthand its potential to transform lives.

It promotes a shift from frustration and guilt to love and acceptance.

You learn how to align your thoughts and actions with your core values, bringing about improved mental clarity and emotional resilience.

4) Letting fear and limiting beliefs control you

Fear and limiting beliefs are like hidden puppeteers, pulling our strings and dictating our actions.

I’ve felt their grip, steering me clear of opportunities, experiences, and the life I yearned for.

In the journey to authenticity, it’s essential to confront these fears and challenge these self-imposed barriers.

They are not protectors; they are prison walls, keeping us from living our dream life.

Breaking free from societal conditioning, as taught in the “Free Your Mind” masterclass, is a step towards overcoming these fears.

It’s about doing the gritty inner work, acknowledging your fears, and then dismantling them piece by piece.

Ask yourself this: Are you letting your fears dictate your life or are you ready to take control and start living your dream life?

5) Seeing prosperity solely as wealth accumulation

It’s easy to equate prosperity with the accumulation of financial riches.

I, too, was entranced by this notion until I realized that true prosperity goes far beyond mere wealth.

Real prosperity is about aligning your financial decisions with your deepest values.

It’s not just about amassing money, but rather using it as a tool for positive change.

This shift in perspective transforms how you interact with the economy.

You cease to be a mere participant and become an ethical contributor, using your resources to promote social good and contribute to a more just and sustainable future.

Prosperity is not about having more; it’s about being more.

You are not what you own; you are what you value and how you act upon those values.

6) Believing that individual success is the ultimate goal

The pursuit of individual success can be all-consuming. It’s easy to believe that our happiness lies in our individual accomplishments.

I was once on this path, chasing success as a solitary endeavor.

Yet, I found that the happiest moments weren’t in solitary success but in shared experiences.

I discovered the profound importance of supportive communities and authentic relationships.

It’s through our connections with others that we find the courage to pursue our dreams, the resilience to overcome challenges, and the joy of shared victories.

Chasing individual success can lead to a lonely peak.

Embrace community and shared experiences for a richer, more fulfilling journey.

7) Viewing failure as a catastrophe

Failure is often painted as an enemy, something to be avoided at all costs.

This fear of failure can paralyze us, keep us from taking risks, and prevent us from living our dream life.

I used to dread failure until I began viewing it as an opportunity for growth and learning.

Each obstacle, each setback became an invitation to adapt, evolve and tap into my creative potential.

So don’t let fear of failure bury your dreams. Embrace obstacles as stepping stones towards your dream life.

8) Disconnecting from your personal values

In a world driven by external pressures and societal expectations, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters to us.

We end up living lives that are disconnected from our personal values.

I’ve been there too – living a life that felt like someone else’s script until I decided to reconnect with my values and live in alignment with them.

This shift didn’t just change my life; it changed the way I interacted with the world around me.

So strive to live in alignment with your values and be a force for positive change.

The world needs your unique gifts!

Embracing authenticity and freedom

Letting go of unhelpful habits is never easy, but it’s one of the most powerful steps you can take toward building the life you truly want.

These eight habits may feel familiar or even comforting, but by saying goodbye to them, you create space for new, more empowering routines that align with your goals and values.

Transformation starts with awareness and the willingness to change.

As you reflect on your own habits, ask yourself: Are they supporting your dreams, or are they quietly holding you back?

To begin this journey of self-discovery and liberation, I can’t recommend enough the “Free Your Mind” masterclass with Rudá Iandê.
