What has replaced cloud and mobility as the top tech initiatives in the enterprise? According to new research from QuinStreet Enterprise, those technologies are taking a back seat to security initiatives— the survey respondents’ top priority—as well as so-called “smart” technologies and business process management (BPM), which tied for the second spot. But cloud and mobility aren’t going away. They’re simply considered mainstream technologies that have found their place in the enterprise, according to the business and IT executives surveyed. In fact, the investments in cloud and mobile may have spurred the increased interest in BPM, which can integrate data from the new technologies into business processes. Of course, the business and IT executives didn’t agree on everything—and neither do the technology journalists taking part in this video roundtable.
