At this technology company, employees get free access to an all-electric fleet of cars and communal bicycles; complimentary meals from more than two-dozen high-end cafes; free laundry facilities and concierge services; massage chairs and sleep pads; and Friday happy hours. Oh, and there's paid leave for both moms and dads after having a child. And you can even bring your pet to work. No, we're not describing a utopian fantasy. These are just a sample of the seemingly endless perks that Google employees enjoy. As for salaries? They're generous, averaging about $104,000 a year for systems administrators, nearly $120,000 for software engineers and more than $138,000 for product managers, according to research from Glassdoor. Given this, it's no surprise that Google is ranked #1 on Glassdoor's recently released list of top companies for compensation and benefits. The rankings—and the overall rating included with each company—were compiled based on employee reviews and ratings. To provide an insider perspective, we've also included employee comments about pay and compensation for each business—also provided courtesy of Glassdoor.
