The Ten Top-Ranked Technology CEOs

#1 Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook ,99% approval
One employee's opinion: "An open community from Zuck on down. Mutual trust companywide ... instilled by our CEO, whom we all truly respect."

They're forward thinkers—leaders who encourage employees to pursue innovation, and they're willing to take on the inherent risks of potential failure. They understand how to demonstrate compassion without coming across as soft. They're intelligent and engaging speakers, and are often able to inject a healthy dose of humor into what otherwise would be a routine company meeting. They're the 10 top-ranked tech CEOs, as presented by Glassdoor, an online career and job recruitment community. Glassdoor compiled its list based on its user/employee "approval/disapproval" ratings and, frankly, a politician would be envious to get these kinds of numbers. Judging from the included remarks from workers, however, it's clear that these CEOs have earned the accolades. "While anyone can assume a position in leadership, not everyone garners their employees' support for how they lead the company," points out Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder. "The CEOs who are most successful in gaining employee approval are those who paint a clear vision of what the company is setting out to achieve and how it's going to get there." Ranking results were taken from 500,000 company reviews from employees.
