Eight Things Your CEO Is Thinking About Now

Nurturing Instinct  65% of U.S. CEOs plan to invest in creating and fostering a skilled workforce.

They acknowledge that they're struggling with talent shortages, and they believe the U.S. government needs to get more involved with helping out. They also acknowledge that they could be doing more to support diversity among their leadership teams. And they are concerned that ever-fickle customer sentiments could derail their strategic growth plans. Who are they? They are the CEOs of America, and a recent annual survey report from PwC reveals that they have a lot to think about these days. The resulting report, 2013 U.S. CEO Survey: Top Issues on the CEO Agenda, primarily covers recruitment plans, social media and customer focus. Implicit within the results is the ever-expanding role of technology teams to help CEOs and other top executives better gather, assess and use information related to these and other critical business drivers. More than 165 U.S.-based CEOs took part in the research.
