How Managing Document Workflow Boosts Business

Do you think twice before you press the "print" button? A significant percent of professionals from small and midsize businesses (SMBs) admit that their company wastes time and money due to a dependency on paper-driven processes, according to a recent survey from Xerox. The resulting report, "2017 Office Productivity Trends to Improve the Bottom Line," indicates that bills, invoices, financial reports, HR forms, and—of course—those lengthy and ubiquitous legal documents are the primary culprits. And there's also the tendency of employees to print out their emails, often more out of convenience than necessity. Very few survey respondents claimed that their business is advanced in implementing the digitization of paperwork, and most feel that a document workflow solution would help address the situation. Some are turning to a managed print service (MPS) in an effort to reduce costs, consume less paper and improve the tracking of print-related expenses. Representatives from more than 1,020 SMBs in the United States and Western Europe took part in the research.
