Mission Critical  69% of survey respondents said their job search was their top priority.

Like most homes at this time of the year, a career can always use a bit of spring cleaning. So, have you checked your digital footprint lately to see if a search on your name calls up only professionally beneficial content? Have you adjusted your social media profile settings so potential future employers can’t find anything that would embarrass you? Despite the fact that many workers consider their current job search a top priority, a significant number of them do not take such simple but important steps, according to a recent survey from TheLadders. "Most of us associate springtime with warmer temperatures and blooming greenery—basically a fresh start," says Amanda Augustine, job search expert for TheLadders. "Job seekers should apply this same sentiment to their job-search efforts and use this opportunity to organize and refresh their personal brands. Revamping your résumé, polishing your online presence and optimizing your professional network will bring any job search to new heights." An estimated 185 job seekers took part in the survey.
