    General Motors vice chairman and product chief Bob Lutz said he would rather see a strong GM even if it were No. 2 in worldwide sales than a less profitable No. 1 automaker.
    Ford Motor posted a sharply narrower fourth-quarter loss after cutting costs and boosting margins on vehicles and said it expects a net loss for the full year 2008.
