How to check the health of quality assurance reviews. There are three types of quality assurance (QA) project reviews: deliverable, compliance and health. Deliverable is any tangible outcome or item produced to complete a project; this can range from a client's approval of a project plan to completion sign-off. Compliance covers areas such as meeting the requirements of a project and complying with established standards and processes. Health tells you how well a project is doing; if it has run off the rails, the team can use the review to decide which actions to take to get the project back on track. Besides serving as an outside check-and-balance on your project's performance, the QA staff will ensure that a project and related documentation are being developed according to an acceptable process.
This worksheet will help you assess the condition of your organization's quality assurance reviews. To see the details behind this tutorial and fill in your own estimates, download the interactive worksheet
