EMC Hires Former Investment Banker Harry You

EMC taps financially-savvy executive Harry You as part of the chairman's office. 

BOSTON, Feb 19 (Reuters) - EMC Corp has named Harry You as an executive vice president in the chairman's office.

You, 48, a former banker who previously served as chief executive of financial services consulting firm BearingPoint Inc, was chief financial officer of Accenture Ltd at the time it went public. He also worked as CFO of software maker Oracle Corp and spent about 15 years at investment banks, including Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers.

"His experience managing complex, growing global businesses and his vast knowledge of the capital markets will help to serve EMC, our customers and shareholders in the years ahead," EMC CEO Joseph Tucci said in a statement.
