When Setting Up Third-Party Billing Systems">

What You Should Do When Setting Up Third-Party Billing Systems

  • Pay now, reconcile later
Pay the bill as soon as it's entered into the system. If amount is questionable, then start the reconciliation process.

  • Find the Missing
Set up the system to identify missing bills immediately by programming software to alert managers when bills are late.

  • Spot the Problem
Write code into the system that identifies bills not fitting a "normal" profile.

  • Own the data
There must be a single owner of the client name so data from various databases can be collected to create a summary report.
