Every year, American Greetings churns out 20,000 new cards to meet every need of "social expression" it can imagine. But the life and death of each of those cards is hardly determined by the pen of an artist and the gut of a chief executive.

    Robert Noe
    CEO, viaLink
    Noe joined the scan-based trading service provider in 1999 from EDS, and led an initiative to create a virtual trading network for the food and consumer packaged-goods market. ViaLink is currently the only third-party scan-based trading service provider.

    Jean-Marie Chauvet
    former VP of Technology, Neuron Data
    Chauvet co-founded Neuron Data in 1985. Its software mimics the functions of a brain in order to help American Greetings and other customers plan manufacturing effectively. Chauvet is now a partner at Dassault Développement, the venture capital arm of France's Dassault Systems.

    Donna Galeti
    Director of Sales, Meritage Technologies, Columbus, Ohio
    Galeti helped deploy an application for American Greetings, which integrated the company's purchasing system with software that allowed its buyers to track and properly dispose of defective printing supplies.

    Jeff Stromberg
    CEO, Ancept
    Stromberg helps American Greetings manage its trove of digital images and messages. Prior to co-founding Ancept in 1994, Stromberg was vice president and co-founder of GeneSys, a Media Asset Management (MAM) system provider serving the print and publishing industry. He also worked at the Army High Performance Computing Research Center (HPCRC).
