Signs are pointing to a healthy new year for information technology. The job market for I.T. workers is expanding, reflecting a strong U.S. economy and an unemployment rate that is hovering near its lowest level in five years, according to job placement firm Robert Half Technology. And a technology spending survey of 21,000 companies released earlier this week by I.T. spending consultant Alinean forecasts 5% to 6% growth in technology expenditures in 2007.
