Sept. 10-13: Data Center World 2006, Orlando, Fla. Produced by AFCOM, an association for data center professionals. Keynote on Monday at 8:30 a.m. to be delivered by Kevin Knox, vice president of AMD’s worldwide commercial business unit.

Sept. 11-14: Fall 2006 VON Conference & Expo, the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Scheduled speakers include Ted Leonsis, vice chairman of AOL; Judy Spitz, CIO of Verizon Business; and Jeffrey Citron, chairman and chief strategist of Vonage.

Sept. 11-15: GridWorld 2006, Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C. Scheduled speakers include Paul Strong, a distinguished research scientist at eBay.

Sept. 12-14: CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2006, Los Angeles Convention Center. Claims to be the “most well-attended mobile data convention in the industry,” with more than 15,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors expected.

Sept. 12-15: SAP TechEd ’06, Las Vegas.

Sept. 17-20: SIMposium 2006, Dallas. Produced by the Society for Information Management. Scheduled speakers include Robert Reich, former U.S. Labor Department Secretary, and Ray Kurzweil, inventor, entrepreneur and author.

Sept. 17-21: HP Technology Forum, Houston.

Sept. 17-21: Teradata Partners User Group Conference, “Unleashing Enterprise Intelligence,” at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels in Orlando, Fla. The data warehousing and business intelligence conference will provide 180 sessions, attracting an expected 3,000 attendees.

Sept. 18-22: Interop networking show, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
