Companies must find ways to manage the rise of mobile-devise use in the enterprise, according to a new report from AIIM, a global, nonprofit organization that provides independent research, education and certification programs to information professionals. The report, "Process Revolution – Moving Your Business From Paper to PCs to Tablets," describes how the increasing popularity of mobility and cloud computing is killing paper-based processes and spurring the growth of mobile content apps. "The first step in the process revolution is moving content from paper to PCs," says Doug Miles, AIIM director of market intelligence. "The next step of moving content onto mobile devices can be challenging for businesses. It requires capturing data as close to the point of origination as possible and making it available to whoever needs it, wherever they are, in the shortest time possible." The Web-based survey was taken by 530 members of the AIIM community in February 2012. For more about the report, click here.
