A Quick Tour of the MacBook Air - Ports? Not So Much
( Page 9 of 11 )

There are 3 ports: 1 USB, 1 Headphone, 1 mini-DVI

The cool thing here is that the port area folds down from the side, which is one way this thing stays so darn thin. My personal thought here is that Apple wanted this thing out the door for 2008 and focused on certain specs over others (think 5 hour battery life (ahem, cough), great touch features, wider screen, etc.). You want more storage, get the new Time Capsule combo Wi-Fi station/auto backup peripheral or some other backup. Use the Internet? If Apple gets enough feedback that says "customers want a faster Web and optical drives" they will add them later. Maybe.

One more USB would have been excellent.

Business Advantage: Widescreen and full keypad keep the eyes and hands in good shape; Keep those contacts in longer.

Business Drawback: Seems like a lot of extra stuff needed (Time Capsule, Remote Disc, USB broadband antenna, etc.)
