More Workers Don't Care About Work
More workers don't care about their jobs anymore, according to recent research from Modern Survey. Not only are they not engaged with their organizations, many wouldn't recommend where they work to others looking for a job. Despite having little confidence in their organizations, the vast majority of professionals do take pride in their work. What can companies take away from these results? Many enterprises must work harder to make connections with their employees to foster better commitment and focus. "The U.S. workforce reports that they want two things more than anything: They want senior leadership's clear vision of where their organization is going, and they want the opportunity to personally grow and develop once again. Both of these things have been stunted during the economic malaise of the last few years," says Don MacPherson, president of Modern Survey. An estimated 700 U.S. adults took part in the research.
