Google, Sony and tech-oriented firms others are considered “most liked, trusted and respected” by the general public, according to a new study from the Reputation Institute.

Google is the most reputable company, earning a 78.62 rating.

Sony is a very close second, with a 78.47 rating. The company scored in the top five in all global regions.

Coca-Cola (70.40) made the Most Reputable list. PepsiCo didn't.

Just 28 companies worldwide scored over 70 for “Most Reputable” rating.

IT companies earn trust and respect because they are “all-pervasive solution-providers” with an impact on daily lives.

Top quality of reputable company: Delivering high-quality products and services.

Other positive qualities: Innovation, governance, citizenship, leadership.
