Mocked as a job for those who find accounting too exciting, the position offers low stress and a safe, clean work environment.

2. Software Engineer

Good employment prospects, pretty good pay. Stressful, though.

3. Computer Systems Analyst

Your job is in demand, the environment is good, and the pay is decent. Again: stressful.

4. Biologist

Good pay, strong demand, and some prestige.

5. Historian

Safe, indoor work, not much deadline pressure.

6. Mathemetician

Good pay, nice places to work, low stress. You do need to be good at math.

7. Paralegal Assistant

Your job is in demand. Your pay is, well, getting better. Also: You are overworked and advancement is limited. Not really sure how this made the list.

8. Statistician

Safe and not physically demanding. Caveat: Good chance of being replaced by a computer.

9. Accountant

Good income for a job that doesn't require a doctoral degree. Safe indoor work, sometimes stressful.

10. Dental Hygenist

Strong demand, decent pay. But: Kind of icky, no room to advance. Another one that wouldn't make a lot of lists.
